Volunteer with Us

We have more than 20 amazing volunteers and between them, they have contributed over 6000 hours last year! Our volunteering roles can be tailored to your interests and skills.

To become a volunteer, all you need is enthusiasm and a desire to help. A little of your spare time makes a huge difference. You can volunteer as much or as little time as you like and any time will be greatly appreciated. With your help, we will be able to continue to help and support the families of Drumchapel, Yoker & Knightswood.

Why volunteer for 3D Drumchapel? Not only is it fun, but as a volunteer you will also:

  • Receive training for your new role and learn useful new skills.

  • Meet new people whether it is staff, other volunteers or the families who attend our sessions.

  • Support the local community and make the most of your time.

  • Gain valuable work experience and improve your CV.

  • Make a real difference in the lives of children and their families in Drumchapel, Yoker & Knightswood.

  • Travel expenses will be provided.

  • Lunch is provided when you help with two or more sessions on one day.

  • Annual summer day out and Christmas night out for volunteers.

“I started volunteering with 3D in February 2019. I had attended the ‘Because you’re worth it’ class and after I completed the programme, I felt much more confident in myself. I had always wanted to work with children, and now I had the confidence to do so I thought what better way than to start helping at 3D. 3D means a lot to me. Even though I am a volunteer here, I come along to the Mums Night and Peer Support Groups. I always have things to do thanks to 3D. It’s just a very good place to come too. It helps with your self-confidence and gives you lots of different opportunities within the organisation. My favourite moment so far was when I first went out in the forest last year. I hadn’t ever done anything like that before so it was a whole new experience. It’s great being able to meet the families and work with them.  3D does so much for the community and it’s great to be a part of it”
